The pair originally crossed paths when Luddington joined the cast of ABC’s hit medical drama Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Jo Wilson, working alongside Capshaw’s iconic character, Dr. Arizona Robbins. Speaking on a past episode of Sophia Bush’s Work in Progress podcast, Luddington admitted that Capshaw actually did not like her when they first met, describing the atmosphere between them as “icy” throughout her entire first season on the show.
