Days of our Lives July Sweeps Predictions: Cat CONFESSES & Lexie DIES! | Soap Dirt

Welcome to July Sweeps in Salem — four weeks that promise to shake the town to its foundations. From June 25th through July 20th, the secrets that have been buried beneath the surface are about to claw their way into the light. Cat Green is on the verge of a confession that could change everything. Lexi Carver may face death a second time. And the DiMera empire, already cracking, could shatter completely.

Let’s begin with EJ and Sarah, because that powder keg is about to ignite.

EJ fires Sarah Horton — that much is confirmed. His explanation is cold and dismissive: he doesn’t need her help. But the real story runs far deeper. Sarah has been poking into DiMera Pharmaceuticals alongside Brady Black, and against Brady’s better judgment, Xander Kiriakis has joined the cause. Three people digging into EJ’s business. Three people getting far too close to the truth. And EJ, as anyone in Salem knows, does not tolerate people meddling in his affairs — especially the dirty ones.

The trigger for all of this? The suspicious deaths of Clea and Destiny. Two lives lost, and evidence pointing toward a bad batch of pills laced with arsenic. Those pills, it seems, were buried near the Horton cabin — because arsenic is nearly impossible to destroy. There are only a few ways to dispose of it, and every single one of those methods is registered and traceable. Someone tried to hide the evidence, but poison has a way of leaving a trail.

And as if that weren’t enough, EJ’s own son has joined the hunt. Johnny, co-CEO of DiMera Enterprises, has thrown himself into the tainted pill mystery. Firing Sarah will not stop this investigation. If anything, it will fuel it. EJ may have just lit a match he cannot control.

Prediction Two: Lexi Dies Again.

The summer promo paints a devastating picture. Lexi is in the hospital. Abe and Theo are at her side. And Abe is raging, screaming at EJ to get out — ordering him away from his own sister. The miracle serum that brought Lexi back has been administered again, but this time it may not be enough. Nikki Crawford’s six-month run is drawing to a close, and with it, Lexi’s second chance at life.

If her symptoms return and the serum fails, Salem will be forced to say goodbye all over again. Theo, Abe, Lexi herself — all of them will watch as the lease on her renewed life is revoked. EJ will be distraught. And somewhere in the shadows, Rolf will likely suggest freezing her once more, placing her in a pod to await another resurrection. But after everything she has been through, after the pain of coming back only to face this again, Lexi may finally say no. Enough is enough.

Prediction Three: Sydney DiMera Returns — And Her Life Is at Risk.

EJ has been talking about it. Once school is out in Italy, Sydney is coming to Salem. Any day now, EJ and Sami’s daughter will walk back into town, ready to stir up the teen and college scene. Her brother Johnny will be thrilled. The other DiMeras will welcome her. But there is someone else who has already taken an interest in Sydney’s return.

Kristen called her out of the blue.

What did she want? Did she ask Sydney to spy on her own father? Or is something far darker brewing? Kristen has tried to kill Johnny before. She has used manipulation, poison, and violence as tools of the trade. Will Sydney become her next target? A kidnapping to hold as leverage against EJ? An attempt on her life to match the one against her brother? Sydney’s homecoming may not be a celebration — it may be a trap.

Prediction Four: Cat Confesses to Chad That She’s a Spy.

The promo shows an enraged Chad confronting Cat in the Town Square. He is furious — she held back from him, kept secrets, hid the truth. And the source of his anger seems to be her role as EJ’s assistant and the information she has access to about his brother’s crimes. But Chad does not yet know the full story.

Cat has been spying on EJ for the ISA. For months, she has played her part, gathering intel on DiMera’s darkest dealings. Andrew warned her explicitly: do not sleep with EJ. Do not honeypot him. But Cat has never been good at following orders. She is putting her life in danger dancing this close to a man as dangerous as EJ DiMera.

But the DiMera Cat truly wants is Chad. And when he confronts her, when he rants about cover-ups and hidden truths,
