Emmerdale and Coronation Street not on tonight amid more schedule chaos – here’s when the next episodes are

Emmerdale and Coronation Street fans will have to wait a bit longer to find out what’s new in the Dales and on the cobbles as tonight’s episodes have been postponed due to the FIFA Men’s World Cup 2026.

Both ITV soaps will sit today out as the network airs the France v Morocco game, with coverage scheduled to start at 8pm. Kick off for the tournament’s first quarter-final is at 9pm UK time, as the game takes place at Boston Stadium in the US.

The match will be followed by former England captain Terry Butcher documentary, Butcher: Invisible Wounds, airing at 11.35pm.

Emmerdale will be on at 8pm on ITV1 for an hour-long episode, as will Corrie at 9pm on the same channel. If you can’t wait till the evening, you can stream the episodes when they drop on ITVX and YouTube in the morning as usual.

This shake-up comes after the soaps have been taken off the air on 7 July, with ITV showing Argentina v Egypt at 5pm and then Switzerland v Colombia at 9pm.

Over on BBC One, EastEnders won’t be disrupted this week as all its usual four episodes will make the air. However, today’s episode, just like yesterday’s, has been moved onto BBC Two, where it will air at 7.30pm.
