BREAKING: Ryan Mulvey Announces BIG New Role! | Coronation Street
The cobbles of Weatherfield are about to lose one of their own to a world of magic mirrors, poisoned apples, and fairy tale romance. Coronation Street star Ryan Molloy — known to millions as the mysterious Brody Michaelis — has landed a major new role that will transport him from the gritty streets of Manchester to the enchanted forests of a classic fairy tale. And if the early buzz is anything to go by, audiences are in for a spectacle they will not soon forget.
Molloy is set to bring some serious festive magic to the stage this December as he takes on a part in the upcoming pantomime production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The show will premiere at Liverpool’s historic Epstein Theatre, a venue dripping with character and charm, making it the perfect home for a production that promises to be nothing short of spectacular. The theater’s social media channels have already begun teasing what is in store, and the picture they paint is one of pure enchantment: laugh-out-loud comedy, dazzling costumes that shimmer under the stage lights, stunning special effects that will make your jaw drop, and enough festive magic to fill even the coldest winter night with warmth.
But do not mistake this for a simple children’s story. The logline alone is enough to send a shiver down your spine.
“When the magic mirror declares Snow White the fairest of them all, the wicked queen’s jealousy erupts into a wicked plan.”
And what a plan it is. Driven by a fury that burns hotter than any hearth fire, the queen — once the unchallenged beauty of the kingdom — refuses to accept defeat. Her vanity is not merely wounded; it is shattered. And so she makes a decision that sets the entire story in motion. She orders the young princess’s demise. No half measures. No second chances. Snow White must be destroyed.
But fate, as it always does in the best fairy tales, intervenes. Snow White escapes into the deep, dark forest — a place of shadows and whispers, where danger lurks behind every tree and hope seems like a distant memory. Yet it is here, in the heart of the darkness, that she stumbles upon something unexpected: a mysterious cottage, home to seven unforgettable characters. Seven souls who will change her destiny forever.
But the queen will not give up that easily. Oh no. She is not the kind of villain who accepts defeat with grace. Armed with a poisoned apple and revenge burning in her eyes, she sets out on a relentless hunt. She will stop at nothing. She will cross forests, climb mountains, and wade through darkness itself to destroy Snow White once and for all. The question is: will anyone stop her in time?
Enter Prince Frederick. He is on a quest of his own — a desperate search for his true love, a journey that will test his courage, his heart, and his resolve. And he will not be walking that path alone. Joining him are two Epstein Theatre favorites: Muddles, the bumbling comic relief who stumbles into trouble at every turn, and Nurse Nelly, whose sharp tongue and quick wit keep everyone in line. Together, this unlikely trio promises chaos, comedy, and plenty of festive fun. Expect slapstick. Expect singalongs. Expect the audience to be on their feet.
The first performance is set for Saturday, December 5th, with the production running all the way through the holiday season until Sunday, January 3rd, 2027. Ticket prices and show timings are available for those brave enough to venture into the queen’s domain.
Molloy — who previously played JJ Osborne on the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks before making his mark on Coronation Street — has already received a wave of support from his Weatherfield family. Among the first to reach out was co-star Junayd Khan, who plays Idris Nazir on the cobbles. His message was short, simple, and full of brotherly love: “You’ll smash it, bro.”
And while Molloy prepares to trade the cobbles for the castle, trouble is brewing back on the Street. It has been a difficult time for Maria Connor and Gary Windass, whose marriage is showing dangerous cracks. Marital problems are threatening to tear them apart, and with the weight of everything they have already been through, the question hangs heavy in the air: can they survive this, or is this the beginning of the end?
But that is a story for another day. For now, all eyes are on Liverpool. On a stage. On a fairy tale. And on a Coronation Street star about to prove that some magic is too powerful to stay on the small screen.
