It all starts at the hospital, where Sarah Horton receives a clue that changes everything. Earlier, his mission inside his father’s office seemed like just another piece of the DiMera puzzle — complicated, but not earth-shattering. Now, it turns out that something Johnny uncovered holds the key to Sarah’s breakthrough. The evidence is there. The truth is within reach.

But here’s where the story takes a dark turn.

Johnny’s discovery doesn’t just reveal the truth. It puts him on a collision course with his own father. And when Johnny realizes he’s been dragged into EJ’s cover-up — used as an unknowing pawn in a game far bigger than he understood — the fury that erupts is both justified and terrifying. A son betrayed by the man who was supposed to protect him. A father willing to sacrifice everything to save himself.

Because instead of admitting the truth, EJ DiMera does what EJ DiMera always does. He prepares to protect himself at any cost. Rumors swirl that he may manipulate the investigation — making sure Holly’s water tests come back clean, fabricating evidence that suggests she obtained drugs on her own. If that plan works, the blame shifts away from the real culprit entirely. Holly, already fighting for her life, would be painted as a girl who made reckless choices. After spending time reconnecting with Chanel Dupree DiMera, Theo turns once again on Gabi, unleashing fury that has been festering for far too long. But this time, Gabi refuses to be a punching bag. She stands her ground and reminds him that she has apologized — repeatedly and sincerely — for wrongly accusing him of revealing her secret to Philip Kiriakis. She made a mistake. She owned it. She has tried to make amends.

But Theo isn’t ready to let go. And the question lingers in the air between them like smoke after a fire — is there a point where punishment stops being justice and becomes cruelty? Gabi’s error was real, but how long must she pay for it? How many apologies will it take before forgiveness becomes possible? Theo isn’t ready to answer that question yet. Maybe he never will be.

Elsewhere, a different kind of mystery unfolds. Kat Green seeks out Marlena Evans for help — not with medicine, not with conversation, but with hypnosis. She believes the sessions will unlock memories buried somewhere deep inside her mind. But as Kat works with Marlena to peel back the layers of her own past, Rafe Hernandez watches from the shadows with growing unease. He doesn’t like how closely Kat is working with EJ. He doesn’t trust it. And Rafe has spent enough time in Salem to know that when his instincts start screaming, it’s usually because something is terribly wrong.

He delivers a warning — stern, direct, unmistakable. And if he believes EJ is pulling strings behind the scenes, Rafe makes it clear he will shut down the entire operation without hesitation. His gut tells him that this path leads somewhere dark. And in a town like Salem, the gut is rarely wrong.

Finally, a familiar face returns. Bonnie Kiriakis comes back to Salem just in time to offer Alex Kiriakis the guidance he desperately needs. Whether he will accept it — or whether anyone in Salem will survive the week intact — is anyone’s guess.

One thing is certain. By the time July 10th ends, nothing will be the same.
